Discover your ATEX needs in just a few minutes
ATEX survey is a fast and guided tool that helps you identify whether your site contains explosive substances or conditions that require a more detailed ATEX assessment.
Why ATEX survey is necessary
The ATEX Workplace Directive (1999/92/EC) requires employers and operators to determine and assess whether explosive atmospheres could form during their activities.
Explosive atmosphere is a mixture of air and a flammable substance (gas, vapor, mist, or dust) in which combustion can spread throughout the entire unburned mixture after ignition.
How to carry out the ATEX survey
The tool guides you step by step and provides examples to help you recognize even less obvious risks. The survey is quick to complete and does not require in-depth ATEX expertise. At the end, you receive a report.
Note: The report is indicative and not an official document.
Data security and privacy
Access to the tool requires user identification through a one-time login code delivered by email. Email addresses are collected for marketing purposes, but the content of the survey cannot be associated with individual users.
Using the survey tool is safe: your responses are not stored or shared, and no one else – not even the service provider – can access them. The conversation is automatically deleted when your session ends.
After the ATEX survey
Once you receive the survey results, review the report and pay particular attention to any sections where potential ignition or explosion hazards were identified. If the tool recommends a more detailed ATEX evaluation, plan its execution as soon as possible, either with your organization’s experts or with an external specialist.
You can also use the report in your internal safety work, for example when updating risk assessments. Remember that whenever conditions change, it is advisable to repeat the assessment.
