Our team consists of safety experts with a total of over 50 years of experience in the field – so we are not rookies, even though our goal is to bring new ideas to the safety field.
How we became Codeax
Codeax story goes back to 2015, well before May 2022. Ari’s long experience as a security expert for AX-Suunnittelu led to a clear vision – the need for an understandable and accessible rescue plan for everyone was obvious.
Ari’s idea of a clear and graphical rescue plan began to take shape for the first time in early 2020 when the first version of the program was launched. During the development process, it became clear that the tool was not only suitable for preparing rescue plans, but also for a comprehensive platform for managing property security information, making updating and sharing information effortless.
Program’s development gained momentum in May 2021 when an external software development partner was brought in, and Codeax SAFE began to take shape towards the version it is today. However, the acquisition of AX-Suunnittelu by A-Insinöörit during the development process led to the decision to outsource the program’s development as a spin-off company – thus the security expert company Codeax was born with the goal of making the world a safer place for all of us.
What drives us forward
Property safety is a broad area that needs to be managed well. However, it is an unfortunate truth that, for example, preparing a rescue plan and getting familiar with it can be heavy. But what if preparing a rescue plan were easy and fun? Or what if getting familiar with it were educational and interesting?
What if the rescue plan and related safety information were so easily available that it would genuinely be useful in an emergency?
We want our program to save lives. When a real emergency occurs and risks are realized, the rescue plan left to gather dust in the safety manager’s closet does not help anyone. Instead, a real-time and accessible rescue plan on a phone, tablet, or computer, which is easy to understand and as language neutral as possible, could be helpful.
We want to save lives, homes, and jobs.
We want to make safety and its communication so simple and easy that even a child can handle it. We want safety information to be so intuitive that getting familiar with it and utilizing it is effortless for all users of the premises. And most importantly, we want to save lives, homes, and jobs.
How we operate
We are an approachable team working together to create safer properties. We want everything we do to reflect the work of our employees. For us, the most important thing is that safety is within everyone’s reach, anywhere and at any time, without complications.
