I’m Kati Nieminen, Software Development Coordinator at Codeax Oy. My role includes a wide range of responsibilities such as developing the Codeax SAFE platform, customer relations, and customer support.
Before joining Codeax, I worked for 4.5 years in AX-Suunnittelu’s environmental and safety engineering unit, where I was part of the safety team led by Ari. My work involved drafting and updating various safety documents such as rescue plans and explosion protection documents in close collaboration with clients. As a team, we also carried out hazard and risk assessments related to company operations, such as automation processes.
My motto is: “Everything can be presented clearly and understandably.”
At Codeax, my duties as Software Development Coordinator include developing platform content, participating in product demos and sales meetings, managing customer relationships and customer support, maintaining the customer register, and handling invoicing. I’m also studying to become an Information and Communications Technology Engineer at HAMK, so in the future my role may include more involvement in software maintenance and technical development.
Although I have little free time between work and studies, I make sure to spend it with my family and friends. My family includes my husband, three children, and a dog – although our eldest has already moved out. I was actively involved in my children’s football hobbies for many years, serving both as a team manager and coach, though studies have pushed that into the background for now. I enjoy all kinds of crafts and DIY – when I do have a moment, I might quickly knit a pair of wool socks or sew a Halloween costume for the kids.
Working in AX’s safety team gave me a front-row seat to observe the safety cultures and practices of various properties. It didn’t take long to understand Ari’s vision for a new kind of tool to manage and present all that information. My background in graphic design proved helpful as we began to visualize and develop the idea together.
I’m a solution-oriented person by nature and I love learning new things. In everything I do, I believe information should be presented in a way that anyone can understand. I’m very excited about expanding the Codeax product family and contributing to its development. With this team where everyone innovates, develops, and designs together we’re bound to create even better solutions for property management and usability.
